Welcome to the Soccer New Brunswick Soccer Referee Association Referee’s Section
2008 saw some changes to the Referee Programs in New Brunswick, and we will continue with these changes in 2009 and 2010. The Canadian Soccer Association has come in with new policies and Soccer New Brunswick has implemented these changes (see CSA Regulations for the Registration and Control of Referees document). We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we continue to work to improve the referee program.
Referees can look for their registration form in the mail in early April. All 2010 referee registrations will expire on April 31st, 2010, so please return your registration form (and payment) promptly to remain current.
A Referee Handbook Development Guide and Manual is presently being updated and will be available in early 2010 on our website. Other documents on our website include the Canadian Soccer Association Regulations for the Registration and Control of Referees, 2010 Registration forms, Transfer-Reinstatement form, Dismissal and Caution forms and the Special Incident Report form. Also available for our referee assessors are the Referee and Assistant Referee Assessment forms.
In 2010 the NBSRA will begin the process of re-accreditation of its referee Instructors and Assessors and per the regulations of the Canadian Soccer association.
If you are interested in becoming a referee please check our website for a course near you. All courses for 2010 will be posted on the website by April 1, 2010.
Any questions regarding the referee in New Brunswick can be directed to John Eatmon, Referee Development Coordinator.
